Is it possible to pass different Via/Route point icons to a Zumo XT rather than the standard blue flag for Via points and . for Route points? For instance, to mark a tea/coffee stop with the MRA

Yes and no.....
Richard said that you can export a route as a gpx.
As I know zip about MRA, check!
IF it is possible, in BC edit the route using your own custom icons.
NB
You need to have exactly the same custom icons in BC and in your satnav else...

CUSTOM icons are those you create- IIRC the max number is 52
They need be named 001, 002 etc
All be .bmp images
Size I use 24x24
Easiest way to create some is using windows 'Paint'
