Got my new 1200GSA yesterday and took her straight down to the Cotswolds to run her in.
There is one question . I kept her under 4k rev for fist 200 miles then up to 6k, but over 4k revs it vibrates quite a lot is this the norm ?. :nenau

They do get smoother with mileage, but even when new it shouldn't be too bad. All a bit subjective really.

My 08 GSA vibrates a bit under hard acceleration, then smooths out. It does seem to be getting better all the time:D

Its all Ok

I asked my dealer the same question. he said it was normal. It now has 2300 Klm's and is getting smoother all the time

Thats probably it then, 4 cylinder high revving 1000cc equals nice smooth power delivery, then along comes a 1170cc twin making 2 big bangs instead of 4 little ones. Looking at it the other way around, I went from British Twins to Italian Twins (Guzzi and Ducati) then BMW Twins. A ride on a friends ZZR 600 was orrible to me as it seemed to be all revs and no guts but it was very smooth. You will get used to and maybe enjoy the "character" of big twins.

Thanks

Thanks for every ones replies. It seems its not a problem and its just the character of the bike, that I will get used to and will get smoother in time.

But I also found out that one of the fog lights was vibrating against the fuel tank and after moving it has made a huge difference. :blast :thumb2
