I have got a problem with my bike gs1150. At low speed the left hand footrest vibrates untill i get to 70 miles an hour then it smooths out my tyres are very squared off but not worn out (tourances)I have never had this problem before but this is the first time on tourances.

I will try a new set of tyres this weekend i might go back to anekees or as any body tried avon distanzas they are the cheapest.

Been suggested/recommended on another thread.

Conti trail attacks. aimed at the same user as the Tourance but not quite as 'blocky' - good for 9,000 miles (rear) apparently.

Yeah, that sounds right ... I experienced the same with tourances ... I even asked BMW HK to look at the final drive, etc coz I thought the problem lat therein (not only the vibrations but a weird feeling when cornering, that I assumed was coming from the rear wheel) - when I asked them, the technician took a look at the tyres and gave me a 'Naah - tyres too square!'

That said, I would have stuck to the Tourances because they're fine in the dry and good in the wet plus have excellent mileage but the HK importer went out of business and I went for the Pirellis instead - they have worked out well so far.
