Vibration

When riding I can hear a vibration or resonance coming from the left side of the bike. It seems to come from the engine area or perhaps further back. Unfortunately it's not there if you run the bike in gear on the center stand. I am having real trouble tracking it down- anyone had a similar problem or got any ideas?

Does it happen when you're accelerating at around 3000 rpm?

Almost certainly the dreaded screen vibration. Do the modification and it will transform the riding pleasure.

Yes it does happen at about 3000 rpm, but it's not the screen- I've already added o-rings to the mounts and stopped that vibrating.

Call me a butcher if you like but I cured a vibration from the screen by setting the side adjusters one notch apart on each side, this puts a slight twist in the screen keeping a little tension on it! I then swap sides now and then to prevent a permanent twist.
Costs nowt and stopped my Vibs!...............Mike

Yes I have got plastic cylinder protectors. Have you had probs with those?- will check them out.
