Is having an open weekend for his 50th anniversary.
Various people attending, Stuart Easton, John McGuinness, me:P

If you're attending make sure you make yourself known:thumb2

1979 I traded in my 400F for a CX500 with them, big mistake :tears

Good to deal with though and you could always nip down the lane to the workshop for a brew with Richard :thumb2

Knock knock...
Who's there?
CX500.

I always found Victor a bit of a pita but I still use my Belstaff leathers from his shop from 1990 ish.
Then there was the midget salesman...

Richard could tell a few stories... Stores bloke was ace. John was it?

You mean 'wee Burney'?

Went in mid '70s, when I was looking at biking (mate had just bought one), to look at helmets. Standing looking at them when the wee salesman came up and asked "how much you got to spend". When I told him (can't remember the amount now, but was'nt much), he just laughed, hmmmphed, and walked away. Never forgotten that.
Bought a bike and helmet from Robertsons Motorcycles under the bridge in Stockwell Street. (now moved to south side). Honda cb250 hee hee. Went everywhere on it.:thumb2

There's no way Jimmy was working at Victors in the 70's, the salesman at that time in the Gt Western Rd shop was Davy Campbell from Paisley, his son was / is a speedway rider..................:)

Think it was wee Krankie that asked me to move my GS away from the front of their showroom, a year or so ago, when I went in to look at some helmets, as they only wanted Hondas parked out the front  Needless to say I havn't bothered going back.

You misread me, I regret giving them my 400F for a CX, not a regret of dealing with them. I should have kept the 400F, at the time the best bike I could have wished for :beerjug:
All my own fault :blast

I might go back just to park my GS out front if it gets a reaction :thumb

Is that the Honda version of Harleys not waving to other makes - don't park beside us?:comfort

i took a wee trip to the open weekend - surprisingly it was really good with decent prizes up for grabs - some of the honda sportsbikes are really cool :)
