Viewing tracks in Googlearth

Just signed up for a Googlearth Plus account which I gather is needed to display tracks

Have selected a Mapsource (v6.12.2) route into which I had previously downloaded the tracks we created

Tried highlighting a track in the navigation pane then from the drop down menu selected "view in Googlearth - no luck

What am I doing wrong or what should I be doing? (maybe I have to sign in somewhere with my shiny new Googlearth Plus ID?)

On my system (free Google Earth BTW), after I click on view in google earth (nothing selected) from Mapsource it loads everything that I have in my mapsource file, zooms into the area of all waypoints, but it leaves the track unselected.... scroll down to temporary places, click the + sign on GPS devices, and select the tracks box....
