Might see an improvement in service then! :augie

I think that is very unfair.

I live about 3 miles from SLM and have used them in one form or another since they first opened in 2001.

The team Alaric had bought together were the best that had been there in that time. Alaric listened and sorted out problems, if and when they arose.

Let's see what Vines come up with, if it is the case that they have taken over, they have a tough act to follow, IMO.

well for me vines have always come good, when theres been a prob its been sorted, and ive had couple of pobs, but still love my 08gsa.plus all the guys and gals at vines very approachable and down to earth,i reckon there were more complaints on here about slm than vines, but we rarley know the full story on these issues do we.

I've first went to SLM when I was doing my CBT in July 2004 and have bought 4new bikes from then since.

I was very happy with the service from the Magic Group when they owned it and everything seemed good when Alaric first took over. Since time has moved on and all the "old" team have left I have felt that things have started to regress.

Case in point is my bike that was booked for a warranty shock replacement and they did not have the courtesy to call me to tell me the shock was not in before I turned up. The last couple of times I have been told that I can collect the bike between 1630 and 1700 but have had to wait until 1730 for it.

I will probably go to Coopers or Vines for my next service and see how they get on.

Alaric was the death of SLM he did not have a clue, I now use the the SLM it's called Chandlers. All the old faces and great service.

Alas, poor Alaric! I knew him, Horatio: a fellow
of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy:
