My grandfather had one of those in his old Ford Popular car, now just an air loom for myself to use, still working but sadly wont fit into my tool box on my Gsa. 
Cool way of keeping fit though.
P.S. the round metal loop at bottom of pump folds down, so you can place a foot onto it, to stop pump going upward on upstroke on pump handle. Good design, stores away neatly when fitting into a car boot.
