Visor Anti-Fog Products

Pin lock a dead loss IMHO. Frequently worse than useless, because it's so hard to demist the inside when they mist up, which is often.

Properly fitted pinlock unbeatable. Never had one steam up on me yet...

Second best et is a Fog City 'Fog shield', which is much like a pinlonck but it sticks to your visor.

There is no third place in my experience.

Always use a new visor and pinlock / fog shield together, if its already got dirt or grease on, you'll never get a perfect fog free lens.

You're right. If the gap gets fogged it's a nightmare. But if they're fitted right that doesn't happen.

Pinlock fab, Fog city nearly as fab. Forget anything else

I just got my first pinlock a few weeks ago and yes it fogged up, BUT since got it fitted properly it's been ace

prior to that I've been using Phoenix Fine Vision inserts, they are made by the same people as Pinlock but are self adhesive.

there's usually some cheap ones on ebay, I think I paid about £12 for my last one and £15 for the wife reactolite one

Fogtech

Try Fogtech....www.visorvision.co.uk Ride Mag reccommended, not cheap at over £10 a bottle , but worth it, (lasts well) best ive used in 20 years, miles better than all the others.

ive just come back from 3 weeks in Switzerland, and despite freezing fog and 1-2 degs temps early in the morning, it works, won't last as long as they say (5 days) but only need to re-apply every 2-3 days

a pinlock is best, but personally i dont like using them, imho this is next best

the pinlock on my schuberth C3 is utter crap. It fogs up on the outside of the insert. Worse than useless.

mine on the C3 is brilliant now it's in right,

I can have the area around the pinlock wet through and covered in water droplets rather than just fog and the pinlock is completely clear.

don't they recommend drying them out periodically as they are designed to absorb water?

So if you use the helmet daily you have to remove the visor and put it in the airing cupboard to dry out overnight? If that's the case, I'm not knocking it....I'll do it. Last night was scary dangerous.

I was so disappointed with the performance of mine (Shoei Multitec) that I took it back to the dealer for him to fit the pin lock correctly.

He did.

Exactly the same.:blast
