Visor Anti-Fog Products

Since getting the new Schuberth S1 Pro with the Pinlock I haven't had a problem, The problem I do get is with my specs !!

they are a bloody pain !!!

Use the FogTech on glasses - I have a bottle of the stuff which is going to last for years. Works perfectly and in combination with a Pinlock visor it's the best I have ever found.

Pinlock - great! Every now and then worthwhile removing the visor and the pinlock, washing each separately in warm water with washing up liquid, leave them to dry thoroughly and re-fit....back like new! Be careful not to clean the sealing rim around the pinlock too aggressively though...

Anyone got any recommendations on effective anti-fog products for treating visors?

The "Pinlock Insert" has worked well for me for some years in the Shoei Multitech in all weather conditions year round - but the inserts do need to be fitted to a clean/dry visor. In my experience you do need to use a cleaner like "Muc-Off" ensure there is no residue or the "sticky" bead around the edge of the insert will not seal and you'll fog up the inside of the Pinock insert.

I have had some success with "Fogtech" in moderate weather - but you do need to reapply on a regular basis.

Good luck on finding a solution :-)

don't use washing up liquid. Due to the high salt content it'll cover your soft plastics in tiny scratches.

Had an anti fog insert fitted to my X Lite x551 onto the new visor when I bought it from a dealer and it fogged up so I removed it, let it dry and carefully refitted it (check tHat the insert fits flush with a piece of paper) and no problem since.
Fitted a max vision visor to my Arai with an insert and it fogged up so did the same as my X Lite and that seems to have sorted it.

Just be very careful to get a good seal all around the insert.

Got PINLOCK on Shoei Multitec, works a treat in all weathers. Take a wee minute to clean and fit correctly and shouldn't need looked at ever.
