First there was Vista antispyware 2011 and now I seem to have the 2012 version on my laptop. Even in safe mode it won't allow me to do anything. Anyone any suggestions please ?

Get rid of whatever av stuff you have on there and download 2 programmes,

AVG free edition

Malwarebytes

That's all you need and they're free:thumb

I've tried AVG free edition, even in safe mode with internet access but it won't download. Keep getting the spoof warning

You know this is a VIRUS don't you?

Yes.

If you've got AVG installed right click on the avg desktop icon, you used to be able to select 'schedule boot scan' from the menu if you still can do so, do so and restart the machine and let it run.

Alternately if you can access the web go to microsoft.com - products - microsoft security essentials - if you get to the point where it asks you to save or run select run and then select run/install. Upon completion it will ask to run a scan and let it do so.

Hope one or other works.

I've just got rid of this on someone's computer. If you can get Malwarebytes on a CD and install it that way it will help. I managed this and it partly got rid of it.

I then did a windows 'system restore' and put it back about two months, this seemed to work. It allowed access to the internet to update the virus checker, then did a full scan and it found the malware and got rid of it all.
