Voge DS800X

Now that my 1250GS is sold if luggage is available at a reasonable price this may well be my next bike. Will have to find somewhere to have a look/place an order.

"The VOGE DS800X Rally is due to arrive in dealers late August 2025

Add a full luggage kit for half price, just £699. (RRP £1,399)."

So just under £8k for a bike with full luggage inc the £200 delivery fee

Unfortunately, the S Wales dealer is M&P but not far to go up to Malvern to Motorbikes 4 All

Why support Chinese Industry ????????????????????????
Why not ?
It’s not as if it’s affecting a domestic industry.
It’ll hopefully affect all the European manufacturers and make them look at there pricing.

Not everything on Amazon is Chinese, but you do know that the Voge parent company in China build the engines for the new F800/900GS’s. So it’s not like they are an unknown manufacturer and the quality has got to be high or BMW would go to someone else. The list of European and Japanese companies that get either component parts or complete bikes made in China is extensive. Starting with BMW, KTM, and Yamaha and moving on from there.

For fun here is the price in Dublin. This is the same bike right?

Edit it’s a different model. Still daft price. RIP off republic.

Went to Bevans in Cardiff today to take a look at the Tiger 900 GT Pro, booked a test ride for Thursday.

Then went around the corner to M&P to take a look at the Voge DS900X.

Quickly came to the conclusion that Voge are cheap for a reason, they're cheap!.

Some bits are obviously good, the engine (BMW), wheels (BMW), suspension(KYB), brakes (Brembo) and electronics (Bosch) are from recognised brands, but the rest is cheap Chinese crap.

The plastics are very thin and second rate, I believe they'd be very fragile, particularly when cold, the crash bars feel as if they'd would fail if you brushed against them too hard, and so it went on.

My wife was adamant that there was no way I was having any of that Chinese shit (her words) and if I was happy with the test ride the Tiger was the one to have and she didn't care that it was 50% more expensive, it was so much better.

Before actually seeing one I was pretty sure I would be getting a DS900X but the reality is that I'd rather have a 2 or 3 year old Tiger if the price was my biggest concern.

The engine is not a BMW.Its made by Loncin.Neither are the wheels made by BMW.
The finish on mine is very good . Luckily my wife doesn’t give a shit what I buy. Nor does she hold outdated blinkered views.
Enjoy your Triumoh, made in Thailand with about 60% Chinese shite 😜
