VPN and UKGSer

Help please and maybe an explanation?

I recently started using a VPN service, pimarily to continue using UK services when I'm away. All seemed to be working fine with 'UK fastest server' selected on the VPN control panel, the whole workings seemed to be transparent, just what I wanted for when I'm away.

This morning I could not log onto UKGSer or even connect to the server, all other sites, webmail etc. were working fine. I felt sure the UKGSer server was down. Later, I tried again, same thing. I then tried switching off the VPN and immediately UKGSer returned, switch VPN back on, UKGSer disappeared. Select a VPN server in another country, UKGSer back working OK

What's is going on? I dont think I've changed anything here.

Maybe they have blocked your VPN server because of a hacker attack? For every one person using a VPN server to get Netflix to work there are another ten using it for nothing good.

So it seems, but why when one day it works, remembers my log in etc. and then the next day nothing?

Is this an automated thing or is a real person involved?

I have no idea what their setup is. It could be firewalled at the hoster or on the forum software so could be manual or auto. Could also be your VPN service has a routing or dns issue. Google how to do a trace route and see where it breaks.

Well it seems like it is just particular servers in the UK that UKGSer has a problem with. I have selected another VPN server in the UK, straight throuh to UKGSer
