Are any of you taking kids? My 13 and 7 yr old will be there (camping) but they're worried they may get bored.

The middle of next week will start dry and warm in many places, though a few sharp showers are likely to bubble up again in the afternoons, more especially in central, western and southern parts. Late next week or early the week after, it is likely to turn increasingly unsettled across the country with some showers or longer spells of rain spreading eastwards across all parts. Any rain is likely to be most frequent over western parts of the UK. The latter part of the period is likely to be rather mixed with some drier, sunnier weather, but also some showers. Rather warm or warm conditions are expected to last through next week and into the weekend, although temperatures may drop to nearer normal during the second week.

When the Met office can get the next day right I'll start believing their long range (1 week FFS, whats sooo difficult) surveys...

Popped to town today to pick up a few more bits that we need, decided since we have a house full of 13yr old girls tonight (daughter's birthday) and the tent has never been used yet we decided to erect it in the garden and use it tonight, could well be more peaceful:

Yes, my bush has got a bit messy, will have to get the black and decker out, you should see the one at the front
Just come in from sleepin with the wilderness, think I've had about 2 hrs sleep! It was wierd, eyes were shut but too much noise, traffic from a distance, dogs, people comin home p**sed, sirens, birds gettin up at silly oclock.....yes, I really felt like I was in touch with nature last night (anyone got any rooms going lol)

I doubt it will be quiet at Baskerville next weekend, do you lack for earplugs?
That tent, does it pack down to fit on one bike?

I have found earplugs to be most efficacious when trying to get some sleep when camping.

Yep, the tent packs right down to fit on nicks bike, all done and dusted. I am taking the panniers with gear and the chairs will be laid and secured over the top, nothing to it
Have a bag of earplugs for when we ride up, wont be needed once we get there Reckon a few more will be bookin this wk if the weather is gonna look good!
