Just in case some of you didn't know, I use this function every time I get in from work at night or in the morning when its dark.

It just keeps the main beam on for ages for you, I roll up on the drive, kill the ignition so I don't piss off the neighbours and wake my babies up! - press the main beam light and it stays on, lighting up my driveway and garage door really well.

Quite a nice useful feature!

That sounds handy for me as I work shifts do you just turn main beam off and it reverts to normal or is it on a timer

Cheers Terry
Failing that I shall GRTFM lol

Kill switch to turn engine off, which leaves power for the rest of the lights.
Press to flash the main beam and it will stay on while you get yourself sorted! It doesn't go out until you then turn your bike fully off with the key. I have to fanny about with a gate, garage door, then return to the bike, wheel it in and it's always stayed on. Very useful for me.

Thanks Titto
Also I think there is a timer setting for the lights in the menu for when the lights extinguish when the key ignition is turned off, think I shall just check the manual

FFS is that it ?

Pretty much a no brainer really leave your ignition turned on and the lights can be used, what I thought the feature would be was turn on hi beam before the lights go out and they then stayed on.

Like I said I am sure there is a function in the menu to set the timer for the lights turning off after the ignition is switched off.

Sorry I am being an arse :blast

Most bike's have the same, it's controlled by the ignition key :)

Oh right....I haven't come across it on the bikes I have ridden before until this one, that's the only reason why I posted it.

On my 2005 Hexhead GS if I kill the engine with the kill switch or use the sidestand/1st gear method, then the dipped beam stays on.
Or if I switch the ignition on but don't start the engine, then I can switch the main beam on.

Sounds just the same.

I think that it's super lovely that they've considered the needs of those who can't find their front door in the dark :thumby:

What a nice feature.......very handy little thing :)

It's a shame they didn't put the same effort into getting the rest of the bike reliable and well built, isn't it :blast :augie

Sounds like somebody screwed up with the lighting software. I bet they take it out when they realise :D

Luckily for me my front/garage door never moves, they're always in the same place.

my Harleys lights are on all the time.... But... I hav an AUX setting.... Enables me to have the radio on, and use the ciggie lighter without the lights draining the battery....very handy when I've turned onto the drive and i want to finish the song I'm listening to....!!
