Does anyone have any African fonts they could let me have which I can use in Windows XP to help me with my fund-raising flyer in support of SOS Children Villages?
Cheers

I couldn't find any of those specifically but you might find something here and these might also be of use.

Meaning no disrespect (don't know how good your skills are :) )but if you would like some help with designing/supplying this to a printer then let me know before they charge you money... I'm happy to tweak the design and supply whatever your chosen printer needs for free. SOS is a great charity :thumb no problem helping you to help them.

Thank you Schiannini. I knew of the first one but have sent an email to the second in the hope they might send me their CD free.
Thank you also for your kind offer- I am only printing a dozen on my home printer or so for my local shops. The powerpoint presentation is to take on my notebook to anyone , pretty much anywhere (if they pay for transport & accom!!) in order to raise awareness and funds and support. What I need is the help of good hearted people like you to help with the networking and direct action.Therein lies the key. :thumb

The target is obtain children's clothing, school supplies like exercise books, biros, pencils, rulers, chalk, blackboards etc etc to help their Educator and medical supplies to keep them healthy- like multi vitamins etc not also high tech drugs -and of course, money to buy what is missing both here and locally.

I am seeing my Doctor this week to discuss how to help and I still need more 'muscle'. I do not 'own' this effort and will gladly welcome anyone who wishes to get involve in any way. Please feel free to give my mobile number to those whom you feel would help. 07815 912892 or my email.
Shops are.....well a rarity out there and SOS Village Enfants is albeit outside Mopti, pretty isolated and far from supply routes.

Many 'grains of sand' will soon make a dune.

For those of you reading this, please take a moment to think how much our parents did for us or how much we are doing for our children...
How far would we have got or how would they fare without us...

The children of SOS Villages were handed over or 'found' by the track side.
They are grouped 10 to a 'SOS Mother' who is supported by an 'Aunt' and to a 'Father' to create a ressemblance of an African Family. I was in awe of those who work relentlessly such such few resources daily to create this family atmosphere, Mr Soungalo Mariko their Education Officer , Mr Mohammed Tounkaratheir Medical technician (no, not a doctor as there isn't one...) with huge responsibilities , Ms Hawa Kasesambara the Senior 'Mother' to name but a few, all le by the 'Papa' SOS Village and Director Mr Moussa Coulibaly.
Please help - you know you can and it is for a good cause. You can even remain anonymous if you prefer and give via this site:

Thank you

No problem Bert,

I can also do some wide format prints for you if you want some bigger than A4 posters for the shops. They are not waterproof but they can be made up to A1 size.

..erm.. obviously for free.

I've done quite a bit for SOS over the last couple of years and can only agree with everything Bert has said about them.

Thanks

given your height, shouldn't that be [email protected]? ;)

Naughty boy! but I like the humour! now then ....
let me see, each crack at 'humour' such as this obligates the sender to generate a £10 donation ...at the very least ;)

You stumpy little git!

Taken the 'Armco magnets' off the 650 yet?

:D

That was worth twenty quid!
