I've been searching for these things all day :(

1 x Brass check valve. 0 psi cracking pressure. 1/8" NTP
2 x 1/4 barb x 1/8 mip connector

I havn't got a clue where to find them in the UK.
interesting mod though if you have a big tank ;)

Bet you'll find them in the last place you look ;)

Is this to stop fuel flowing back from right to left lobe through the cross-over pipe on the Adv tank? Great idea!!

If it is, & you find them, get me one as well please (or email me the source).

Cheers,

;)

you'll get those from a decent hydraulic hose shop...I use something very similar in nylon for my job....

There's a good place in Thurrock I use from time to time if you want me to have look....

er...why is this a great idea???

Not taking the piss or anything and maybe i'm being thick but why would you want to do this???

Bill,

I tried this mod after reading about Guzzler at ADVRider doing it - it ensures you always have fuel where the pick up is - ie on the right (WHY didn't they put it on the left, where the sidestand pools the fuel:confused: ).
Guzzler's original nylon valve failed (as did mine) because it turned out to be not as 'petrol resistant' as advertised.
I just replaced my crossover tube with a new piece - Guzzler used a brass valve which, AFAIK, still works.
Another point is that the valve has to operate on virtually zero pressure (not even 1g, as the pipe is, to all intents and purposes, horizontal), so a valve that will work in a pressurised system (like your hydraulics) may not be suitable...

Mike:)

ps The other drawback to this mod is that it makes the re-threading of the crossover pipe an absolute bitch of a job, when re-fitting the tank...

Pauls guessed right :)

If the fuel level is low and the bikes been on the side stand for a while all the fuel drains into the left lobe.
Then i have to pull the bike upright wait five minutes for the fuel
to come back to the right hand lobe before i can start it.

I didn't know it was a problem on an ADV tank but it certainly
is on a 41ltr.
