Can anyone recommend a good external hard drive? This computer is full up now and it's about time I freed up some disk space.

Hi Al,

Have you thought about buying another internal hard drive ? Easy to install, just take the side off and slot it into a free bay. You might need to buy a cable with it (cheap as chips) and plug it into your motherboard, again not hard. Maybe take the side off your computer and see if there's room... It'll save you money and hassle

I've got WD 250gb Passport. very pleased with it. very small, requires no power source and slips into the laptop bag so I always have the extra storage or a very quick means of copying data.

Well, that's the one I went for. Shipping options were pay £9.99 for next day shipping or free delivery within 5 days.
I ordered Sunday night so it wouldn't have gone out until Monday and got here for this morning if I'd paid the extra tenner, but being the cheapskate that I am I opted for the free delivery and guess when it came? Nice bit of kit too.

Glad you're happy with the result I've used them before and found them pretty good.

Maplin spam this week has a seagate 1tb drive for £139.

Seagate drives are normally the most reliable.
