A good friend of mine not on the forum is looking for a nearly new Husqvarna 701 Enduro must be low miles and he will consider standard or modified as he will be using it for TET and Morocco type trips.

He is a serious buyer with cash waiting and will travel within UK for the right bike.

Contact me with what you have available and pictures and I will pass onto him so you can deal direct.

He does not want a KTM 690 Enduro R or a Gas Gas 700 it must be Husqvarna 701 Enduro

I bought some Mosko Moto luggage off Pepsi on here and I collected it from one of his pals who had a very nice 701 for sale , might be worth getting in touch with Pepsi ?

I saw that one and it seems nicely spec’d and a very good price. I seem to remember them costing more than that

Indicative of either not much spare cash around at the moment or perhaps people choosing either 100kg 500 EXC or an 800kg 1300cc monster

Yes that one looks nice but my mate is very fussy and does not like the look of the long range tanks otherwise that one would have been ideal

A brand new 701 if you shop around is about £8500 so the EBay ad linked on this thread is over priced. I bought mine in April 22 for £9900 and believe it or not they’ve reduced in price.
What do you consider low miles, I sold mine last august with 12k mikes on it as a two and a half year old bike and one dealer said the mileage was excessive. I laughed in his face and told him these bikes are formidable machines, if they’re looked after and serviced correctly they’ll go on and on. Some US owners have 80k plus miles on their 701’s and they’re still going strong.

The one in the link is the same as what I had - a LR with the long range tanks up front so retail price is about right I believe but agree if you shop round you may well find cheaper

I know mate I had a fully sorted 24 plate 690 and could not give it away ended up putting it back to standard and trading it against an Africa Twin. My 690 would have been perfect t for my mate but he wants a 701. Have the dealers actually got any stock at £8500 though

Ah yes, I hadn’t realised it was a LR, that’s a good price in that case. 👍

Colin Appleyards at Keighley did have a new, cheap 701 a short while ago but I’ve just checked their website and they appear to have sold their stock. Try Craig’s at Dewsbury, they have a massive stock of Husqvarna Enduro bikes.

Craig’s have no stock he tells me has tried all the localish dealers he is in Hull and none have any stock and certainly not for £8500 if someone could find him one for that there would no doubt be a few beers in it for them

Standard one at a Dealers with only 350 miles on it for £7888 , I'm sure you would get it a bit cheaper as well.....

Yes I have seen that one John and sent him the details thanks

I know the owner at Craig’s I’ll pop over tomorrow and see if I can do some digging. 👍👍

Your mate is right to be fussy, I don't like them either despite their usefulness.

My mate had a ride on a gas gas 700 and a husqvarna 501 today as the bike is to go in his motorhome when he is travelling in Europe and Morocco so he can park the van up and do some longer trips on bike. I think 501 would be better bike but he did not like it even at 110kg the search goes on for a nearly new Husqvarna and there are still beer tokens on offer if anyone can hook him up with a new one for under £9k

Morocco edition a KTM 300 EXC erzberg and a rd350lc. He wants a bike with enough power that he can pick up off floor that he can chuck in his van
