So what is his issue? The Gas Gas is the same bike. Literally just different plastics and no map switch (which is £70).My mate had a ride on a gas gas 700 and a husqvarna 501 today as the bike is to go in his motorhome when he is travelling in Europe and Morocco so he can park the van up and do some longer trips on bike. I think 501 would be better bike but he did not like it even at 110kgthe search goes on for a nearly new Husqvarna and there are still beer tokens on offer if anyone can hook him up with a new one for under £9k

At least the KTM 690 has a dash suitable for a larger, longer distance bike.
If he is set on a new one then he needs to talk to Jack at Marsh MX. they are about the on ly dealer left with any buying power since Gear4 closed a couple of weeks ago. Although all their stock will be appearing elsewhere soon I expect.(probably Marsh).
As a motorhome bike he is going to hate a 170kg very quickly if he's in anything that is coach built with a sideways garage. We have 2x orange 500's and 2x 691cc of different colours. There's no way I would have the larger ones for a motorhome bike. They are a surprisingly larger bike, not just in kgs.
Real world - the larger bike is only really more powerful when things are illegal. The 500 is very close and very similar mapping. Lazy power unlike the 450 which is only happy when being raced due to the ecu/cams.
