You won't be disappointed - they're the business
I sometimes just take mine out of the box to look at them![]()
I.. they've got 'outlast' as opposed to Gore-Tex.
I thought Outlast was a Phase Change Material to keep you warm or cool, rather than a waterproof membrane like Goretex?
In my experience you either tucked your trousers into the top of your boots or were just unlucky.Daytona Roadstar GTX are rubbish started leaking after about 1 year!
Altberg are much better boot for half the price!

I've just sold a pair of Daytona-Trans Open as I wanted something smaller, shorter and lighter, but I couldn't fault their comfort, build quality or water-proofing. They were hardly showing any wear either.
I've bought some new Daytona Alkon XCR from Hein Gericke for £180. Perfect.
My dad bought a second hand pair of Daytonas about 5 years ago or more, and has covered about 60000 miles in them. They are still water-proof but could do with a re-furb.
Do they have a zip or are they just velcroed together? I've got a pair of Tech 3s, but they're a bit 'overkill' for the road and not waterproof. Those Daytonas look good.
I'm a big fan of the Sidi Couriers and they've survived Alaska, Morocco, Ireland, Scotland, lots of green lanes, Salisbury Plain, daily commuting, and still going strong after 2 1/2yrs. I couldn't get on with the Tech10 Alpinestars and sold them recently and will likely use the funds for another pair of Couriers.
Me too, riding through the worst rain and sheeite over past couple of weeks, totaly dry and comfy.![]()
.

Just got myself a pair of new TCS (Oxtar) Infinity at £160 - very comfy and looking tuff-enuff!
Looking through the 2008 BMW rider equipment, I see that the BMW's Santiago boots are an exact copy of these with shiny BMW logos at £40 more!
