Corbin solo saddle for '04 Roadking Classic, anyone???
needs to be as comfy as my Sundowner dual seat, (1000 mile days)

As one who likes Corbin seats a lot myself I decided to try a different solo seat this time for my Road King for two reasons. Corbin was a lot more expensive plus for my model the seat has puffed up stitched ribs which I didn't care for and they said would not make one w/o them.
C&C seats came highly recommended on a Harley forum so I called and spoke with them. They said their foam varies a little but is firmer than stock but they would be glad to use one of the firmer blanks for me since I like Corbin seats. I was a little nervous ordering a seat that I'd not sat on or even seen, from a company I'd only just heard of. Long story short I ordered one in plain vinyl actually they suggested using two slightly different textures which I did, it arrived in two weeks and I couldn't be more pleased how nice it feels.... 100% more comfortable than the stocker. The best part is it's only $255 vinyl, $295 leather. Even allowing for additional shipping to the UK it shouldn't be too bad. http://www.ccseats.com/RoadKing.htm

I all honesty I have no knowledge on buying something directly from abroad? On a £170 seat approximately how much additional would shipping and whatever tax add?

It usually works out at roughly the same price in dollars as it is to the pound I've found. Ie. if something is $100 you can expect it to cost £100 by the time you've added import duty, VAT and postage on top. Exchange rate is currently $1.5 to £1.

Thanks Melch, that's not horrible though.
I just looked on Corbin's site and a basic Classic Solo for an 04 RK is $450. It's nice looking and made smooth with either leather or vinyl. If they still offered that for my RK I'd probably have bought one w/o looking further.

i can say from experiance they are very comfortable ,but expensive

Not overly worried about price, COMFORT is my main concern

Don't be such a poof. Man the fuck up ! A mere thousand miles
A day... My piles laugh at your puny mileage....

Yeahbutt my piles have had enough:D

yeah man up , i once rode from mine to waitrose at south woodford without stopping and i never got a sore arse and that about 6 miles
