I fitted Ohlins TTX to my bike over a year ago now, then a couple of months ago I fitted Akra catless headers. After both changes I got a warning light up on the dash of my 15 GS, I knew what they were and why they are there, so whilst a little annoying it was no big deal. But I have heard it could lead to an MOT failure because of the warning lights.

I have tried to clear the fault lights using my GS 911, but to no avail. Can anyone tell me if it’s possible to clear the warning lights from the dash please, as I don’t want to have to put it back to standard for the MOT.

I have all the standard parts still, and MOT not for a good few months yet, so have time on my side. Luckily MOT testing is every 2 years in Gibraltar.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance.

For the exhaust, take the cables out then re-attach the flappy thing acctuator and plug the wiring back in. You need to stop dirt going into the cable holes, makeup a little plastic disc and silicone it in place.

Suspension.
If your bike had ESA it is a case of buying a gizmo to plug into the ESA cable to make the bike think it is still there, Ohlins (amongst others) make them.

it would help if you knew the mot rules for Gib,might not be a failure item?

as mentioned leave exhaust flap servo connected, suspension shouldn't bring engine fault on,
It may have been warlord that fitted esa servo buddy type fault eliminators when fitting ohlins,

As far as I'm aware, taking the bulb out won't work.

Because when the ignition is turned on, the warning lights have to come on, then go out when engine is started. Anyways....

The ESA system needs 'eliminator plugs' which plug into the loom and make the ECU think its all still connected.

I bought my ESA Plugs from FTR Suspension in the UK. They quote £95 each, and you need two for front and rear. But I supposedly got them for free if I purchased my Ohlins from them, which I did.

However, the Plugs came in a black box with branding on it

Andreani Group International

The sticker code on it said....

Tracked it all down to here:-

Italian Translation : This wiring allows the exclusion of the error in the display, after the TTX installation

The Akrapovic Headers I removed the Servo, cables and controller completely. No point having it all on the bike, extra weight and vulnerability.

I replaced it with a Servo Buddy which cost about £35 if I remember correctly. You can buy them off eBay.

I get no warning lights and everything works as it should :thumb2

Thank you all for your replies, it’s good to know that the problem can be overcome without having to put everything back on, just for the test.......:beerjug:
