Warranty Dilemma

My bike is a 2013 GS TE. It's done just under 33,000 miles and had a new engine fitted in July 2014. I bought it second hand from a dealer last October. It is about to go in for another new engine and swingarm. As it is outside of the corrosion warranty and is an incredible goodwill gesture from BMW I am just paying the installation cost but will get a 2 year warranty on the engine and swingarm.
My dilemma is that my motorrad warranty runs out in October and it will cost £384 to renew. Given that the suspension won't be covered and the engine is already covered is it worth me going for this warranty?
On their website under Summary of Cover it says "Claim limit- up to market value of insured motorcycle at the time of claim or up to a maximum £1,000 whichever is greater"

Does that mean I pay nearly £400 for a £1000 policy?
What do you guys think I should do?

You will be covered for the market value of your LC or up to a £1000 whichever is greater, so it will be the market value.
If the engine is covered as it's new, and I think they won't cover the shocks after 30k miles anyway, then there is not a lot else that seems to be susceptible to problems.
You do get the breakdown and recovery included I guess.

Don't bother with the warranty. I'm on 2nd engine, 2nd frame, 2nd fork leg - I'm the 2nd owner at 15000 miles. I've just payed for the BMW Europe wide breakdown cover. £130 ish.
As you know, paint isn't covered in the warranty and BMW, quite rightly are replacing the engine units. Read up on the new Consumer Credit Act too. Knowledge is power.

Would Honda give you a £6.5k component outside of your warranty?

I know Honda are having a problem with spokes, but are replacing the wheels foc.
Regarding their engines, perhaps they won't need replacing. Time will tell.

tough decision. Ive had replacement switch gear and receiver module for the switch gear, which then needed programming. Thats got to be a couple hundred quits worth. Does extended warranty cover electrical component failure?

Yes I think it does. I've also had a replacement LED auxiliary light and kill switch under warranty.
£37 a month for peace of mind providing suspension doesn't fail I guess!
