Has anybody worked out how to strap water bottles to GS1200 ADV panniers? I know Touratech panniers support this but haven't worked out how to do this on my GSA panniers.

Big trip to Portugal coming up this summer. I want to be prepared :aidan

Like this you mean?

Hi Rog,
Your bike is looking bloody fab! I see you have a satnav on there, thats my next purchase, is yours the rider or the zumo? have you had it long and what do you think of it? Its a nice mounting position is that a standard fitment or a seperate bracket?
Cheers,

Andy

The GPS is a Zumo 550, I've had it just over a year,i it was one of the first released, the software has been upgraded as Garmin have developed the unit and it's performed perfectly, (I can't say the same for myself :augie) on every occasion.

Would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone, the Tom Tom would never be a consideration for me as the maps of Ireland are woeful compared to Garmin's.

The bracket is produced by Padge a member of this parish, he came up with the design which is a simple but beautifully made specifically for the GSA fairing, apart from the improved wind protection one of the reasons for fitting it on the bike was to use this bracket.

Have a look here for all the details. :thumb

......to be honest I took two lots of touratech bottles on each pannier and found that the water gets too warm to drink...:(

I also had a fire extinguisher stolen from the top of the top box:eek:

The bottles look the business though  but that's all- you'll never use them really...

best take two stainless 'thermos flask' to keep cold drinks cool........
