Water pump leaking 2013 LC

Water pump seal leaking on my March 2013 LC.
Things not improved as mates 3 month old 2014 LC water pump also leaking.
Do BMW even try to improve their quality control?
 
My 2014 started leaking from the water pump, dealer fitted new pump for it to leak again, after inspecting, it was deemed to have a porous crankcase and only option is a new engine ..:(
 
I have a March'13 LC and there are no leaks anywhere. So not ALL like you describe
 
My 14 reg leaking as well. Noticed at 600 mile run in service (is this a record!) Booked for replacement pump in a couple of weeks. Still loving it but keeping an eye on the coolant level. :-)
 
perhaps it helps to post if you DO NOT have a problem in threads like these to give people some perspective.

IIRC , there are onwards of 80000 watercooled GSs running around .
 
Faults

I agree and this is only second fault with mine, first being clutch,it's just disappointing on a bike that costs £15k fully loaded with luggage.Mates £5 k Suzuki VStrom never misses a beat!!
I still however love my GS

My bike hasn't had a leak.

I, on the other hand, just have!:P
