Yes it has taken longer because:
a) GSs are very high tech, and the engine does not trace its origins back to 1950
b) BMW have done loads of R&D and testing so the customer won't have to.
c) BMW haven't sold as many GSs to Globetrotting city wide boys as they would have liked so they are trying to flog the last lot before the new one
d) None of the above
