After recently purchasing some Klim Marrakesh trousers (excellent by the way) I can't get my old WP overtrousers on unless removing my boots and remember struggling in rain showers to do this by the side of the road. Looking for an inexpensive soluution, I found one that may be of interest to you bargain hunters amongst the less well healed Bimmer fans. I took the scenic A40 to Ross on Wye yesterday and visited the surplus store on Broad Street (10 Broad Street, opposite Peacocks...plenty of on street parking for bikes). After chatting with the very helpful and knowledgeable owner there he suggested I try the Royal Navy Goretex overtrousers sized to be worn over normal uniform, but he suggested going one size up to account for getting over M/Cycle boots. he claims the Navy ones are better made than the others, more substantial (although they pack up small) and have wider legging zips at the ankles. Spot on. They fitted like a charm and were easy to get over the boots. As well as zips for the lower legs and draw strings at the waist, they also have velcro closures at the ankles to get them to fit nice and snug, and being a dark Navy blue, are more muted than the usual camo trousers. He had some brand new ones in stock, yours for the princely sum of £35. Bargain. Had these appeared in your local motorrad shop, you'd expect a three figure price tag. Duely paid for and bundled into the top box.
