My HG waterproof summer gloves have given up the ghost after 4years but they dont appear to do anything similair now.
Has anyone got any recommendations, they must have good armour around the knuckles etc.
cheers ian

+1 for the rukka,
have the xtrafit gloves and they are superb, use them all year round too, bit chilly in the deepest darkest depths of winter but brilliant in the summer,

I bought some Racer Multi-Top gloves. Linky
I hate bulky gloves but these are not too bad a compromise between weather protection and feel. They must be reasonably good otherwise I just wouldn't wear them.

I still wear my unlined gloves if I don't think it'll rain though. But if I think there's a good chance it might rain I put the Racers on instead of just taking a chance with the unlined ones.

As a point of interest, would it not be a good idea when recommending gloves, to add a price?

As above

Rukka xtrafit - super but £130 from the Fatherland

Gericke's own xtrafit (not as good as they used to be but only £60 ish

Racer Multitops if you like racer boy glove farkles and all leather - £90

All suit my mole-like hands (big but shortish fingers)

Thanks for that:beerjug:
shooting down to the Dolomites at the end of May and may need something waterproof on route, will be taking a pair of cooler summer gloves as a back-up.
cheers ian

Personally I use the leather and goretex combat gloves that I was issued with, whilst in the RAF. Totaly waterproof and hard wearing. (I have had them for 10 years). They are warm in winter yet perfectly suitable for summer use. In fact they are the only gloves that I own.
You can purchase them for about £45 from Silvermans or sheck out your nearest surplus store. The one in Oxford sells them for about £15 for new gloves.

I think most 'Motorcycle Gloves' are overpriced and over rated.
Why do you need 'armour' on your knuckles, when if you come off you are going to put the palms down first?

Steve
