Waterproof summer gloves

I've had mine for 8 months and both leak, both from the fingertips and the throttle glove from just about everywhere. Total bollicks for £65.

Take 'em back then!

Lu and I have just brought a pair of these each for our trip.... guaranteed 100% waterproof.

Army Surplus Goretex over mits

£10 are the dog`s.

Just back from continental trip - 1500 miles of which 1000 in torrential rain snow and sleet (Yes, in late May/1sr June).

Not a drop got through to my normal gloves - best biking tenner I`ve ever spent (Except a lap of the Nurburgring).

I use soldier 95 leather/goretex gloves in the winter too - work great with the muffs and heated grips - and cheap as chips. Too warm for summer though.

Yes - Provided your local dealer has them in a size to fit you!!!

Anyone been into a dealer who has the 9-91/2 size in stock??

Chris

SPC had stock of sizes across the range when I called in last week as my partner came away with summer rains ...

I bought some BMW Summer Rain gloves in June and found them fine.

Wore them last week because the weather was mild and got caught in a downpour. The buggers leaked like nobody's business.

Taking 'em back for a refund (hopefully) from SLM :spitfire

For £65 they're shyte :(

Get some of these and quite sexy to boot :thumb

Sent my Summer rain back after only 2 days...
Got a pair of the new Hein Gericke goretex summer gloves.. Have some new fangled typre of Goretex designed specifically for gloves.. (Goretex X-trafit)
Not as thin as the BM summer rain ones, but fairly thin..
Short cufs too which makes them easy to tuck under your jacket sleeve.

Very comfortable too as the new goretex stuff seems to have unnoticable seams at the finger tips (where the BM Summer rain were annoying).

I'm glad somebody else thinks the seamed fingertips of the summer rain gloves are a pain. They are waterproof though and are light, it's taken a couple of months for the fingertips to become comfortable and its no longer a problem to me

The cuffs could be longer though :nenau

Re: BMW Rain Gloves

My second pair are now shagged. The seams failed on the first pair (don't pick your bike up with these gloves!) and now the goretex has failed on the second, maybes because it's in direct contact with sweaty skin. :nenau

Mine are back with SLM, I wanted a refund but they have to claim from BMW via the warranty, apparently

Should have wrapped my hands in fivers, would have been dryer ;)

bought them here

I have these too and they're flipping great. If its particularly warm they weren't that comfy though. In which case buy the summer kangeroo air flow jobbies Racer make too that are the only othre pair I need for most of the riding I do.
