I've got one of the sump mounted boxes, came with the bike when I bought it. Went on a trip last year and stored my tools in it, problem is the thing leaks like a good un, but doesn't drain so well.

Has anyone successfully waterproofed one of these. I thought about lining it but unsure what with as it's a sod to get into.

This wasn't the only thing to leak, so did my trousers and my SW Motech boxes!!!! Adventure kit my ar*e

Oh and the solution from SW Motech to fix leaky panniers...we will send you a tube of silicone. Thank you that's very kind, £2.99 of silicone in £1,000 of panniers!

With regards to the sump guard mounted tool box it wont stop leaking but I put my tools in a plastic bag inside a couple of kids pencil cases (costing about 95p each from your local poundland) inside the tool box and jobs a good un! dry non rusty tools when needed.:thumb2
