Waypoints - Via Points Disappear

Hi, first post on this site, so please treat me gently!!

I previously had a 2610 and now moved over to a Zumo.

I am just a tad confused about waypoints and via points.

I have created several routes within Mapsource for my trip to Europe. One for each day. This was done by creating Waypoints at selected locations.

I have subsequently imported those routes back into Mapsource as I had a crash and lost the originals.

All I have now though is the route with several via point on.

Can anyone tell me where the Waypoints went?

On the 2610 I seem to recall when I was enroute, I could bring up the waypoints individually and ask it to route me to one if I was running oput of time.

On the Zumo there does not appear to be this facility.

First things first, but have you checked to see whether you are searching for the waypoints "By Name" rather than "Near Here".

On my 2610, when you search for a waypoint, there is a drop down box at the top asking whether you want to search "By Name" "Near Here" ie your current position or "Near (Destination)". My guess is you're currently searching "Near Here" but if your waypoints are more than 50 miles away IIRC (and they will be if they're for an European trip) they won't show. I'll bet you a virtual pint that's all it is.

The waypoints are missing in Mapsource on the PC after I imported the route back from the Zumo.

On the Zumo when the route is running, where do I ask it to go to a particular waypoint along the route, almost a case of re-routing?

Before you imported the route from the Zumo, did you tick the Waypoints box in Mapsource or just the Route box?
