I've read a few threads around about their WCs not starting but has anyone else had there GS or GSA cut out when moving? To give a bit more details, I will be riding along the road between 30/40mph typically and the bike will just cut out completely. No lights on, dash lights out etc. A quick tap of the center button (keyless) and on the starter and it fires up again no problem.

Had it happen 3 times on one 5 mile trip home from work.

BMW have had it now for 3 weeks and ran diagnostics and multiple phone calls asking me questions about it. They phone me at the end of last week and they are replacing the ignition switch. The chap on the phone doesn't seem convinced that's the fix and emphasied that I should "monitor" it after getting the bike back. They're now having issues coding the switch to my bike now :blast and have tried 2 switches with no joy.

Anyway, it's just see if any other GSers have encountered this before? And if so what action was taken.

3 weeks, jesus what a pain in the arse!!! not heard of this one but good luck with getting it sorted!!

Aye not been ideal. They've given me a F800GT to play with just now. Don't rate it though but at least it's something to get me back and fore to work.

Mine stalls occasionally when going from 2nd to 1st - I put it down to not enough gas / revs. I deliberately try and over rev or don't even blip now.

I got my GSA back this afternoon. The paperwork says DME software update and keyless control unit replaced.

So far so good. The only issue now is my gear shift assist pro has completely stopped working! No amount of pressure is shifting that lever. When I first got the bike it almost needed "bedded in" but no it's like the feature has been turned off/removed. Another call in order now :(
