Sorry to sound a bit flippant - but you want to try it out here in N Pakistan and Afganistan at the moment where Sectarianism inolves salvos of RPG's, indiscriminate beatings of woment and the odd blowing up of a Mosque for not being 'Islamic' enough - put's the bollox going on back home into perspective I can say! - I'd be happy to put up with a bit of angry banter, cool weather and the prospect of pesh Tennants lager and smoked sausage supper instead of the prospect of being shot at, kidnapped and drinking feckin tea all day!

Listening to radio phone ins and reading fans' comments in the papers it would now seem that Gordon Strachan (after delivering 3 championships in four seasons) has been useless and a total embarrassment to Celtic FC (and that's some of the more mild critisisms of him).

The common theme seems to be that the fans want a "Celtic minded" appointment as the new manager. I take it that that means "a Catholic".

How fecking pathetic.

Strachan wis too honest for them and wouldn't play the silly wee games wi the Weegy media. I am off the same opinion as you as to what "celtic minded" means. As I said, sectarianism is still rife but gone underground a bit. Atitudes take a generation to change. Last year, I was sitting in a hotel in Glasgow and the NI section of the RFC were in full flow; proved to me that there's still as much bile as ever.
