I've noticed that the bike runs a lot smoother on the way to work when the air is a lot cooler, more damp and the engine runs cooler (4 bars or less)
I guess this is due to more dense air.
So does this weaken or richen the mixture and can the injection system be adjusted to keep it just a smooth when the air/engine is hotter.
The bike is an early 1100 with basic fuel injection - no lamba sensor etc, just a sensor on the air filter.

go careful

It's simply a question of cooler air being denser and, hence, much more of it can be drawn into the engine on any stroke.

The bikes have an air temperature sensor in the air-box and the computer adjusts the fueling accordingly.

Most land speed records that I've either witnessed or read about happen in Autumn usually just after dawn on closed roads.

The reasoning aparently, is because that is when the engines gain maximum power from air density.
