Hi

i want to make a website for my family etc.

my server is NTL.

1. How do i make a website (or does someone do them on the cheap here??)
2. how do i get a webname allocate it to my server?
3. can i use ntl?

i want to upload pics and text etc.

Check out NTL's pages....IIRC, they have a website creator and templates and it's designed to be easy to use.


TBH though, you might be beter off with a blog type site..they're very easy to set up and operate....have a look atthe link below, or google 'make a blog, blogging' etc etc....

I also wanted a website to talk about motorcycle travels etc, but decided that a blog was much easier. As I am not trying to sell anything I don't need the feedback that a website gives and I can load tones of pictures and info to the blog very easily. Just updated with a bike run to Agen in southern France and loaded quite a few pictures with no problem. Free and low maintenance, that is the bonus of a blog.
