Here is a vid mainly pictures but a few funny bits and my mate dropping the bike which is funny.
Nothing really special a few pics from the Grossglockner and the Stelvio.
This will not be a full blown write down of it all because im sure many have you have experience in riding around these parts.

Firstly iv been wanting to do this for years so i started planning a trip into Europe no real destination in mind i just wanted to go and do it. after reading and talking to people i decided on the alps and to do the route de grand alps.
this was meant to be a solo ride but it turned out i got myself a few tag along's long story short i never ended up doing the route i wanted due to the tag along but with the help from wapping and a few others there was some fantastic routes pre made on this site that i used plus some useful websites.

First day I was heading for Strasbourg which was a long haul but i did it and left the other two in Belgium sleeping.
next day had to abandon the routes i wanted due to heavy rain so i headed to the Rhine falls which was a good site to see and ended up camping right next to the Rhine.
next day i headed towards Ruette in Austria which was very very good riding weather was good roads were fantastic.
Due to my mate taking to an elderly couple he wanted to do the Grossglockner so the next day this is waht we did its was ok but for 25 euro thought it was a bit steep.

The next day was where i made the error i was looking at the map and thought i could dip in and out of Slovenia
the back into Italy very bid mistake it took me to far away with a lot of riding to get back.
i got on the toll roads but there were crap so i came off and took a road called the B90 back into Austria i was heading towards the Stelvio.
And this is what i did the next day its an OK pass if im honest a little painful going up i did it from the Bolzano side coming down was better we hit it early and it was quiet nothing on the roads.

And that is it i then rode all the way back on motorways which was crap.

All in all it was a good first trip away for me the bike proved itself but i wont be camping and i wont be going with tag along's.

the depressing thing was Scotland was bathed in sunshine while Italy was in the depths of a mass storm.

Not the best write i know.

iv tried uploading the route as an image but in 7 days i went too far and the latter part of the week was to many miles for my shoulder to take especially when camping and the weather.

You do seem a lot happier with your two travelling companions than your previous rants suggested.

Glad it all went well for you in the end.

yeah we did have a laugh off the bikes it was mainly on an evening when we were talking about were we was heading and how far. there was tension all the time luckily me and my mate get on pretty well when not on the bikes we have two very different mind sets about it.
As a first trip is was ok but the distance thing got the better of me.

Good going for a first trip, as you said too many miles,
You will do it different next time, we learn from experience, some good some not,
good you can smile about it now, so nothing lost,
Good luck for next time,
Roamer
