Noticed a little misting a couple of weeks ago.. Tried to put it to the back of my mind as I was heading to Austria... After 2500 miles its like this

Should I get it seen to immediately or can it wait till the service in a thousand miles...

All views appreciated including doom merchants ;)

A little oil goes a long way when it seeps out, Your picture would not alarm me, no sign of it dripping off the bottom of the housing, however we don't see the surrounding area on the photo. To put your mind at rest show it to your dealer for their comments, I think the end seal is cheap and an easy fit.

Mine is like that. When the bike is very dirty you will notice it, but i don't think it's anything to worry about.Only worry when you actually have oil leaking out.Even then it's only a ten minute job to change the seal.:thumby:

That's no problem mate and it's the outer seal. I would wait until I got back to do it. Earthmovers bike was like this for nearly 4000 miles last year with no problem.

They will sometimes mist if it's very hot or you are at altitude but no bother.

Mine was like that when i got back to the ferry at zeebrugge last week.It got a little worse 50 miles from hull ,then stopped seeping all the way home.
However i'm going to change the seal, I'm not comfortable with the thought it might get worse, potentially putting oil on the brake/disc and rear tyre.
