A very good mate who don't do internet has asked me for advice or diagnosis in his electrical problem.
After 30 to 40 miles riding his indicators start random flashing ( both like hazard lights) the dash indicators flash too.
his bike is an immaculate r100 r and the year is quite late and its a paralever. If he gives it a handfull of revs it seems to stop for a while. he has a newish battery.
I told him to check the terminals for good contacts . he said it did it a year or 2 ago then the problem went away untill recently
any ideas and tips please. it does it in the dry as he don't get his bike wet......
Cheers for ideas

Earthing problem - check the bolt that doubles as the speedo cable ‘locknut’ and main battery chassis connection may need cleaning or tightening

There’s a main earth point, loom to frame, under the tank RH side. Whilst he’s there give all connections a good clean, especially the flasher relay connection.

Good to hear you’re still busy Mick - shame you’re not in this neck of the woods as you’d probably be able to sort out why my T100S keeps blowing its main fuse soon as it’s done about 4 miles!

Sound like the indicator/hazard/relay unit under the tank. Pull it off and check the terminals on the unit for corrosion.

I also told him today to run an extra earth from headlamp to mainframe...
Thanks again.
This is his bike
