Just a little heads up for this rideout. It was mentioned in MCN this week. E mail address for enquiries is [email protected] Costs £5 to join. If you email the guys you will be contacted when details finalised. General plan is to set of from Cardiff at around 10am and head up to Chester. There may be 2 routes one for those who don't want to get there too quickly. They are finalsing arrangements for a discount at the De Vere Hotels both in Cardiff and Chester for those who want to stay on, and it's planned to have a party at the Hotel in Chester on the Saturday evening.

Air Ambulance : We have three now.. please help us keep them.

This rideout sounds good.

The air ambulance (Helimed 61) based at Caernarfon (launched in July 2003) has saved a lot of lives in its time and many an injured motorcycle rider has been carried swiftly to aid.

Wales now has a third helicopter, with the new Helimed 59 serving the midwales region, based at welshpool with full time service from the start of 2007. So will need our help even more to keep this needed service going.

Anyone after more information, or wishing to make donations directly can do so here:
http://www.walesairambulance.com/index.php?p=home

Like all of the air ambulance services in the UK, these machines are only kept flying entirely by dontations, there is presently NO continual governmental funding for these services.

So please support your local service and keep these life savers flying.. please :thumb

Look like a ride out for me.

Had a flyer (no pun) on the notice board in work for a while now and having friends who have used this taxi to hospital (trail riders:eek: ) I think I will attend.
Will there be a group travelling there on the Friday afternoon?
If not yet, can I propose a Liverpool, Wirral and North Wales group meeting somewhere and making our way down there for a stop over on the Friday night and then the organised jaunt back up North to Chester.
It will keep me of the trailbike for a day or two and keep Sarah Teach happy:clap .
Timpo.

I'm up for this one.

Edited 16-Jan-07
Well I was until I found out that I'm on holiday.

Chris and I are up for this, hopefully a couple of others as well. We fancy a night in Chester and a party! Hotel has got a fitness centre and a swimming pool. The longer route will likely take a left at Newtown and head on up via Aberystwyth and Machynllech, so could be a nice day out.

The wife just emailed me this, seems it's doing the rounds in the NHS. She asked if I was interested in doing it.! Um...oh...go on then :)

A good possibility for me as well, as long as we are back from the land of Guinness:beer: I am sure(ish) it is the weekend B4. Back to Gods country on the Weds evening. May be a Bit tight. (cue nun and vicar joke) But hey it's a party:beerjug:

North wales peoples..

Timpo, looks like my diary for the 2nd is clear.. whats your thoughts on riding down?

Ride down...

OK Rocks, I was thinking of a ride down Friday 1st, in the afternoon/early evening, get into the De Vere Hotel, a few scoops and a bite to eat.
I have emailled Helimed asking if there is a booking code to use when making a reservation (Hotel might be sponsoring event). A standard reservation is £85 via website enquiry.
The return leg on Saturday as the flow takes us. Put my GSA in my garage and get a taxi back to Chester for a few beers, again at the De Vere Hotel, Chester.
Now as for a rendez-vous on the Friday, I was thinking either Chester or Demon Tweeks on Wrexham Ind Est, but I will wait and see what some of the others want to do.

Hello Helimed.
Ok, I'm set to attend the ride out on June 2nd, but living near Chester I will travel down on Friday 1st June and stop over down there somewhere. Now being a member of the www.UKGSer.com rabble, I have read on the forum that De Vere Hotel Group are doing a discounted deal for attendees both in Cardiff (Friday) and Chester (Saturday [party time]).
Is there a discount code to use when booking or do we just book on internet reservation facility as normal?
If you can please let me know as soon as possible, I will post the details back on the UKGSer forum.
Thank you.
Timpo.

Hi,
First of all thank you for your interest in the ride out. We are still waiting for our PO Box number, we have a discount code for the hotels which will be sent through along with all the information that you'll need to take part. Please bear with us, there are some things outside our control (Royal Mail) but everything will be out as soon as we get everything in place. The more people you can tell about the event the better, the route will have something for everyone we think you'll be pleased.

Once again thanks for your interest and time in contacting us.

Peter.

I'll post any further info when I receive it.
