I'm jealous.

My wife has been totally unreasonable, just beacause I'm working away the weekend before and the weekend after.
Can't you just tell her that you're working this weekend too?

Never mind. We'll think of you as we pass the section(s) where you dropped it last time ;)
We'll probably also think of you if someone doesn't take a rear tube and gets a puncture :P

When he said that he wanted a Mousse in his tyre, my guess is that he wasn't refering to this sort of Mousse. :P

Steve

I got your message - sorry, I've been too maxed to ring you back.

You could try the Liverpool House B&B on 01597 810706 - it's about 5 minutes stagger from the Brynafon House Hotel.

Whatever, just get your arse and your bike to Rhayader by midday a week tomorrow (Friday)!

The proposed route totals 46 miles of which 12½ miles is entirely on BOATs. One short section is on the Wye Valley Walk (waypoints Fri A to Fri B), but I cannot find any reference to a TRO on the net, so hopefully it is OK.
Just back from the local TRF meeting - was chatting with a guy who has a lot of info on the Rhayader area (and a group of them are there the same weekend as us) - there is some sort of problem with the lanes that start/end at SO 082 602 and SO 186 596 (both of which I think are on your Friday route) and are known to be "closed" (possibly for Health and Safety reasons?).

Oh feck!

That's pretty much all of the Friday route up the pictures!

Is your contact 100% sure?

I'm sure he is sure they are "closed".

However he didn't know (or at least mention to me) what that involved - might just be a laminated sign and some tape across the lane :nenau

I don't think we go anywhere near it but SN 780 421 is also "closed".

He has been riding in the area over the last 30 years - I've emailed him for some GPS "routes" - hopefully he may even send them :)

The mud may be hot and wet!!

Current forecast here

Assuming all goes to plan and I manage to fit 5 days hours into 4 days I'll be there by Lunchtime on the Friday :thumb

Martin, The Squadron Leader and I will be leaving Badger's Mount :ymca at 06.30hrs on Friday and targeting to be in Rhayader by noon.

I've got a meeting to attend on Friday morning, can't dip out of it. :( Will be picking up Simon (Jarv) midday in the van, so I guess we'll be there late afternoon.
