Yep, it was a great weekend. A fair amount of damage happened to some of us, I need to replace both brake & clutch levers, and one busted handguard. My mirrors stayed intact though 'coz I left them at home this time!

It was very hot & VERY dusty at times - but it was a good, solid, one and a half days riding of varied terrain. The company was good with the usaul banter, hotel superb, and the grub at the local pub is just unbelievably cheap for the humungeous amount of food they serve.

Thanks again to Greg for arranging it :thumb , and good to see everyone again - plus of course the new guys who came this time - Richard, Eddy. Hope to see you all again at the next "Welsh Raid"

In total frustration at having to end the ride early, Charlie tries to set fire to his bike

Thoroughly pleasant. Thank you very much Mr Masters. :clap

My apologies to those who suffered my contribution to the dusty cloud with my 2-stroke fug!

I'm "double dating" the Rhayader trails at the end of July with my better half (Fussel), Polarbear and Custard Tart. And thanks to agentle steer led by Mr Reynolds I've ditched the Lion Royal for the Brynafon. :thumb

Thank you all for making a newbie feel so welcome. I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Greg (and anyone else interseted), PM me with an address for the photo collection.

Eddy

Apart from poor Charlie, I think that everyone enjoyed themselves. Thanks, guys, for your support and comraderie.

My damage report is longer than I thought it would be, but, luckily not too expensive!

To be fixed:

  • a doo-hickey fell off my new trailer
  • I bent the bars on the one major drop I suffered
  • a capacitor fell off the PCB for my Garmin power lead
  • speedo cable now 'ex' after getting snagged on something
  • speedo cable guide missing (no doubt, related to above)
  • helmet peak falling off
  • rear winker knocked off (on the trailer on the way home!)

but (Mr Reynolds to note) both my wing mirrors are still intact!!

:thumb

Greg

.....very Ta .. ;0)

.....well i STILL had a good time..... ;)

....many thanks for organising it Greg, and despite my early retirement i'm still glad i went....

...great to meet mates old and new....have a good crack and a few beers :D

I think the falling off bit was expected really.... just hittin a rock big enough and in the right (wrong) place to do that damage  was unlucky...

Thanks to everyone for trying to help me fix it and especially to Phil for the tow! ....worked a treat!

....NEXT TIME! :thumb

Best Regards

Charlie
