West Midlands Region,"Has it died"?

We used to have 2 meetings per month in the region but due to things like pub closures etc they seem to have just faded away. I used to organise them but I've been working away in the week and generally am away for a few months in the summer

We should really get them back up and running as we always had a good night

Ideas anyone

I'm just saddling up for an aimless ride on my lonesome and was just thinking the very same thing.

Why not start something up yourself?
I used to run a lot of road and off road rides and weekend parties in the Peak District section but work, commitments and life in general got in the way. The Peak District section is now very quite apart from off road rides organised by the likes of Skygod and MickDB1.
When circumstances allow (hopefully within the next 12 months) I'll be organising things again as often as possible.

Try posting up a date and time for a ride out and see who turns up Don't worry if you get no replies to the thread, turn up and do the run anyway. We often got people turn up on spec because they suddenly found themselves with time on their hands.
If you wait for someone else to do it you could be waiting a long time

I've just had two wonderful evenings riding around aimlessly through the Cheshire, Shropshire and Staffordshire countryside. Passed some great looking pubs.

I'm up for a get together and talk crap for an hour if anyone else is.

Nothing to stop us bringing back the social side of things, one of the many reasons I joined the forum as I'm guessing it was for a few others as well.
