I was in South Wales yesterday, as I had booked a one 2 one with Black Desert Training.

This company has been set up after Craig and Tasmin who were both BWM Off Road School trainers and both are finishers of the Dakar, both are still competition riders and have won most of them, Craig being 3 time British Rally Champion in a row.

Doing the 1 to 1 with Craig was very intense but tailored to how you were doing during the day, and with no waiting around for others it keeps you working hard, the off road in South Wales in the forest and trails were breath taking in more ways than one even in the pouring rain I was smiling like a crazy thing or was that just pure pain on my face.....nah

Completely recommend this pair of extremely nice people wholly passionate about the sport and getting other to learn and enjoy it. Course included Bike, Fuel with insurance all the kit and food and drinks.

They run small group course also over two days, and long rally sections and overseas adventures and mechanics courses as Craig was a BMW mechanic and sets up bikes for rallies and the Dakar. Check the site on the net Black Desert training.

I feel so alive after this 1 2 1 as I have never ridden off road before but would not think twice to ride now, I was up and down things I could not walk up or down in the rain, well I was impressed.
Maybe of interest to someone out there thinking of doing some Off Road training, if you can, do the One to One.

I used a Honda not sure what model but under 400cc as is looked a bit smaller just in case I was having a hard time of it but I soon got to like it and off road it felt that it had 100's of cc's and were shod in Michelin with grippy bits out the side and so was able to ride on banking and the wheels griped and gave great confident. Craig also has Yamaha and Suzuki sorry not good on these type of bikes so do not know the models but there were so many of them in two large garages along with his KTM's and Dakar monster.
