Trying to buy some brake pads yesterday, went to several shops who could identify them but didn’t have them in stock then went to BMW who were completely useless because I can’t remember what the caliper came from.IMG_3846.jpeg

Yes, it's a left hand R1100 caliper probably: I machined one to fit my R80GSPD.
Yours is fitted via an aftermarket adapter.
If correct, I used these on mine

I had to mill the tabs to centre it on the original disc and then had to mill it again to fit on the HE adaptor. When I fitted the HE 320mm disc I went back to the original caliper which worked well but as I was preparing the bike for a short tour up in the alps (setting off at 2.30 today!) I found the original had a leak so I swapped for this one but the pads are quite worn - I think we went to every bike shop in Toulon yesterday afternoon but no luck. It’s very easy to drop the pads out so maybe we’ll be able to find somewhere with some in stock this afternoon or tomorrow.

This caliper was also used on K1100 and R100R paralever but there are slight differences
Some R1100 had a pin in the caliper and the pad was a different shape
The pads with the recess fits all
this type of caliper some people filed the pin down as the pads without the recess were cheaper and easier to get

I’ve ordered some TRW sintered pads which will be at home when I get back on Tuesday - hope the old ones hold out until then.
