What’s your mileage?

Mileage is meaningless on its own. A bike that has been treated badly and thrashed for 30,000 miles compared to a bike that has been treated sympathetically and well for 200,000 miles. The high mileage is likely to be more reliable than the low mileage one.[/QUOTE]

Spot on.

67 plate, triple black, 22,000. No issues or dramas, chugging along nicely.

where do you get that from ?:nenau

From quite a lot of feedback from this very forum.....how representative that is, I've no idea because it's my first dynamic ESA shod bike. May be luck of the draw or there may be some good hard data on it. Either way I'm non too bothered as the bike's a keeper.

You're right not to be bothered, I suspect your data. wherever you sourced it from is FUBAR:thumb

I’ve been told that if you use the different settings on a regular basis it’ll last. The problems arise (apparently) if the shock is left on the same mode for a couple of years, then one day someone gets on the back the mode is changed and it fails to work.
I swap the modes around every other ride just in case it’s true ;)

2015 TE with 55000 miles on it. Just changed the engine to a 2017 with 6000 miles on it so I wouldn’t know what to say my mileage was!!

Mileage is meaningless on its own. A bike that has been treated badly and thrashed for 30,000 miles...

In 2012 I bought a 4 year old Tiger 1050 with 20,000 miles and thrashed it mercilessly for 3 years and the next 35K miles. It never needed a new engine and it never occurred to me it might need one if I treated it like that. My current GS, much as I love it, will get another £500 spent on the extended warranty renewal in March in case its second engine also suffers a mechanical meltdown.

My 15 GS TE with 26,000 miles on it has never missed a beat, it has all the extras plus AF-Xied, Ohlins shocks, decat headers. First 2 years dealer serviced, now I do all my own services as per the manual, plus the drive shaft lube every year. The bike lives outside under a sheet, and has no rust.

No plans to upgrade to a 1250, this bike is a keeper.

2013 1200 GS at 112,000 no problems.
2019 1250 GSA at 18,000 no problems but... better feeling suspension for me, on the other hand very, very heavy to pick up.

Where is the thread of the member on here with over 100k on his WC?

The fella in question is below! :D

2013 1200 GS at 112,000 no problems.

You've left out the 701 and new FE 350! :rob:D
