What a bloody sh*t morning

Ok, thanks for that.Given i dont know where the baffles are exactly, where do you suggest I cut ??????????????/

When they did mine they just cut the whole of the rear panel out. Did the repair and then just seam welded the whole thing back together. No real problem for anyone who works with fabrications.

Bob, that bike sounds like it's had enough. Just strap, it onto the back of some lorry heading this way and I'll dig a hole in some field where it can be buried, I'll send on photos of the burial if you are sentimental.:aidan

Lots of shiney and expensive bits have been fitted and she's nearly ready for the road again

Rob, sorry to see you've had a major headache... but I'm sure a man of your calibre will get it completely sorted. Saw the above article in mechanics a couple of months back and nearly fell off my chair when I read the owners bit!!! Pity they don't want to feature the repairs and help foot the bill, although I suspect they only offer infamy in return for the articles?

best regards

Rob

Hi Rob,

Good to hear from you again. Hows the Little one and the MX5?

The problems were nothing to do with the Mechanics article. The gearbox spring is an Airhead weakspot and I suspect the front wheel damage and exhaust split were down to me falling off at last years Hogroast. The crack in the fork leg could have been down to the wheelies but it should have easily coped with that, if it was then there was obviously a fault in the leg to start with.
