Yes, I agree it’s a gret bike but what are we comparing the bike with?
I mean what kind of bikes were we riding before the F800GS that makes it a great ride fr us?
It would be interesting to know where we all come from.
I rode a 650 enduro single for years and simply adored it. The smooth power, the reliability, the looks, the all terrain adaptability.
Rode my thumper all the way to Turkey and back. Even rode it on the dunes in Tunisia.
The F800GS for me was the natural step forward. Kind of a more mature approach to offroading and touring. The Beamer is great for that but a different bike all together to what I had.

Same here .. completed a London to South Africa trip on my 800GS. At first I was sceptical and was worried it would die on me somewhere in the middle of nowhere, but instead, it's a beast man ... AWESOME bike !
