They're valves to allow the equalisation of air pressure when you change altitude over a relatively short period of time.

No they aren't. They are tracking devices. tesco have an arrangement with BuMW to see if these long distance adventure machines are being ridden (or pushed if it's an LC) to other supermarket chains :thumb2
