Got myself a newish scooter that came with a Motorrad mount?
Are there any other choices that would fit this mount?
Or, is it worth anything?

Has to be the BMW model of course

Have a look at this thread for some ideas…..

Otherwise a BMW navigator or some garmin units but I don’t know which

A Garmin Zumo 660, NAV4,5,and 6 will fit that mount. The 660 and NAV4 are no longer supported by New Garmin maps since map NT2025.10 which was released in July 2024. They can use up to date Garminised Open Street Maps. The Nav 5,6 both use current NTU maps the latest being NTU2027.10 issued last month. I belive as stated above that some Android Auto devices can use the mount and power.

Not sure, as do not own one, but found this on Amazon which looks similar to a Capuride Sat Nav mount.

Might be worth checking that out with someone here that owns and uses one.

Thanks for the offer but currently looking at removing as not needed on that bike. But, if worth, I'd keep and get rid of old unit. (or just sell it)

Garmin Zumo 660. At least that’s what fits my bike. A very good and very user friendly unit. Plot your routes on Garmin Basecamp, send to device, press go and that’s it. Probably the easiest routing and using sat nav system so far.

I'm in the market for a Zumo 660 mount actually so if you DO want to get rid of it, let me know. I would like more pictures if possible just to make sure it is the mount I'm looking for.

If you do remove the mount, do it carefully (ie. not by just snipping the leads, as some do) as the mounts do have a value, as they fit / suit several devices.

I will look at what's best as don't want to damage anything as bike is under warranty. And also the bracket may not be suitable for other uses

In which case I’d leave it alone.

If you want a GPS, buy a cheap Nav IV, V or even a (latest edition) VI or their Garmin equivalents or look at one of the adaptors to fit one of the many Chinese phone mirroring devices. Then wonder about where to put / charge your phone.

Yes, I'm doing for now. But the scooter is mainly for commute, it has navigation of the phone app and has phone charging point and compartment. And also have a Zumo that I can use on other bikes.

I'm keeping it for now. Not had time to access the options and what id need to cover its gap and if it would fit my old GS
